An augmented reality approach to building virtual scenes


This article aims to present an alternative approach to building virtual sets, using augmented reality techniques. It starts with an introduction of the main proposal, addressing the themes of RPG (Role Playing Game) and augmented reality, and how these can be related through the use of markers. Followed by a review of studies related to augmented reality in the context of current computing. Finally we present the application of principles developed to meet the proposal and a description of the tests performed. To finalize alternative applications are described for augmented reality approach presented.

His research interests include Computer Vision, Human Computer Interaction, Machine Learning and Programming topics. He is the leader of the Pixellab group, which develops solutions for accesibilty, Precision Agriculture, and Interactive Systems.
