Virtual Reality as support in the treatment of the fear of traveling by train

Abstract

A phobia is an unreasonable sense of fear, anxiety, persistent, intense and unrealistic, a feeling that arises when the phobic situation is faced with the cause of his phobia. One way to treat phobias is the use of computers to simulate these situations. And, in computing, the area that provides better reproduce real life situations is Virtual Reality. The objective this work is to create a virtual environment that allows the user to experience being in a train journey. Using this system professionals can to assess and treat theirs pacients with the experience generated.
