Virtual Reality for Viewing Legacy Systems Integration with Workflow

Abstract

This paper presents a methodology for use of Workflow systems as technology of integration of legacy systems. Using case study the university petitions student’s process, and, XPDL (XML Process Definition Language) as modeling language and the tool SHARK as Workflow Engine, tests was implemented and it had shown the effectiveness of the developed prototype validating the methodology proposal. However, this evaluation revealed a negative aspect: visualization information. This was resolved with the use of Virtual Reality in this visualization.
